How to Call to duel on Battle Screen
I sometimes saw officers calling someone else (and even me) to duel.
I want to know how I can call someone to duel with me on battle screen, as Koei manuals doesn't explain at all how to do it, and it was a very interesting feature on previous Romance of the Three Kingdoms versions.

I'm not sure you can control it, I think it's just an effect that happens sometimes. Usually the pair-ups aren't even sensible; you'll get a high war against a ridiculously low war, and have predictable results. Not an ideal setup, but it wouldn't make sense to duel every other officer either, so I assume it was their "middle ground."

That didn't answer my question. Can anyone please help me?

You can't. Yeah, past ROTK's alowed you to expend a strategem to try and duel, but if you were too strong they would say, "Go eff yourself! I'm not a fool!'. So you would have wasted a strategem unless another officer managed to confuse the unit first. then often times they would duel. It was a nice game mechanic that allowed you to destroy larger armies if you had the right officers.

ROTK XI did that well. Even if the enemy officer would refuse a dwell, his party will loose will and part of it will desert.

It was also funny killing off people like Liu Bei or Cao Cao in duels. Some of their famous officers would resign, and you can recruit them.

ROTK VI handle it better, the whole army will lose morale and it reach 0, battle end. This game however, you cannot control it so just make sure you have a lots of officer or strategy skill to Boost the Morale up. ALso, duel doesn't affect much, you can duel them but it won't allow you to capture them, nor wounded them, or even defeat their army. I think it is more realistic in one of the older game where you can duel, and defeat that army that they command.

You can kill characters during duels. I have killed a few. But I am yet to see anyone captured.

One of my generals, Zhang Liao, just got injured after he fought Guan Yu. And, I think the soundtrack is also different when two famous people duel.

Thanks for answering, that's exactly what I was waiting for. TBH, I used battering rams, opened the gate AND USED THE RIGHT OFFICERS to duel everyone and conquer city with both sides losing only very few soldiers, thus getting a very large army after conquest in ROTK 3 and thus easily unifying China with that strategy.
