Because when ROTK 13 came out on 1 / 26 / 2016, it didn't support English, just supported Chinese/Japanese. and then KOEI fixed some bugs until patch 1.0.6
English language support was added on 7 / 5 / 2016.
So the English verion was built based on patch 1.0.6.
Therefore, you don't need to worry about that the English version doesn't get the same patch with Japanese and Chinese version. No matter the Korean or English version, all get the same game update information & patch content so far.

I believe there's still some content that the other version has that we don't, correct me if I'm wrong, but the troop aptitude on the non English version goes up to S rating instead of A for English, I also saw that they have more portraits available through the screenshots I've seen, such as the 2010 three kingdom series for the main characters. I don't speak or read Japanese so I may be wrong but it's what I've seen browsing around.

Well last time I played on ps4 it still had slow down bug when petitioning.

Talk about annoying.... dunno if it still lagging behind in patches.

I play on ps4 now it still slows down a lot after petitioning it's well annoying lasts about 5 minutes
