Conditions for the historical events
I would like to know which are the conditions for the various historical events that happen (i am mainly interested in the late ones, starting from the battle of ChangBan etc.) is there anyone who knows the exact conditions for them, or a way to find them????

Also, when for example one starts the game from the Warlords scenario and made his way through both historic and custom events to the part in which ChangBan is to happen, will it happen if the conditions are fullfilled????Or the game stops the events when one of the previous ones don't happen or a custom one interferes???? I know that there are some event chains, but i don't know if the events follow through aall those years if the right conditions are met (that's the reason i need them )

I have searched for an in depth guide to this historical events in this, i have concluded that one in english (at least) doesnt exist.. i have seen some partial ones, but they are missing events and/or stop at battle of chibi.

As for changban specifically, i know, that "resolution at guandu" needs to happen moving liu bei to Xinye (i believe). Then the three visits need to happen. Then the rest should fall into place (up to battle of jiangling), as long as cao cao and sun quan and liu biao still exist.

Now i dont know if these can be bypassed, say eg (if you play as liu bei , skip reolution of guandu and liberate xinye an alternative means.
I do know that some of the events can be skipped in this manner. I have noticed also alternative versions of some events, such as, (example, if zhang liao isnt employed by cao cao, Xu huang takes his place in the Guan Yu surrenders event)

So in theory, for battle of changban, i do believe. the perequisites would have to be :

-liu bei rules xinye
-cao cao is still a force (so xu shu can join, triggering three visits)
-alternatively, Zhuge Liang is in your force (time sensitive)
-yuan shao doesnt exist (i only say this because my resolution of guandu happened immediately after cao cao wiped him out)
-liu biao is still a force, ( i believe he needs to pass away and liu cong is the succesor, this may be time sensiteve, not sure which year either)
-Mi Shi is alive, (for zhao yuns part in battle of chang ba)

I hope that helps .. i may interpret more on this later, this is easier if i have the game in front of me. I do have a save file in this area as well i will try to reference on that
I also know more on the later events.

Thank you for your time and help!!I need to know as accurately as it can be, so to manipulate them and make some custom ones with choices especially at the beggining. What do you know of the later events???

I am also researching the real history of three kingdoms as of later phases, for example after the formation of three kingdoms and the deaths of Liu Bei, and Cao Cao, where Sima Yi and Caos are taking control. In this part, the game has no events, Koei showed so unprepared and irresponsible of not having events in this important section of the game.

So, i have managed to create some of them, such as Jiang Wei's defection, i have in mind to create the incident at Gaoping Tombs, where Sima Yi gains control of Wei in some manner, also Zhong Hui's rebellion in 264 i think, or some relationship changes between the rulers of Wei, the dethronization of Wei lords from the Simas etc. etc. but once again i need to check the real history of the conditions of those events.I have found a timeline in wikipedia and i am trying from there to implement those to as much as the editor lets us do... If someone could know what could 'connect' between the game conditions and the real history so for me to be easier to create those events, it would be helpful!!

Thank u very much.and something else...if a historical event gets messed up, for example the Guan Du chain. If via a custom event, Liu Bei gets moved to XinYe, Yuan Shao is not anymore, Cao Cao has Wan etc. will the ChangBan take place??or it is locked to a specific scenario chain of events???

do you happen to know if you can 'de-throne' a ruler via custom editor??? or he has to die in order to change the ruler?????hope not

Well I'm not entirely certain if you can alternatively get the Chang ban... I think you can because.. i do know they fall into string categories.. Guandu being the end of the yuan shao string.. the Chang ban might be tied into the zhuge liang string (three visits, his debate, Zhou yu's arrow strategy) .. i dont think it is though as he has nothing to do with Chang ban directly.. so I feel it can be done without these other events... you have piqued my curiosity on this topic.. so a bit of trial and error may be required..

As for de-throning an emperor.. there is quite a few of in game events involving this.. I'm pretty sure you can do it.. along with relocating/killing the emperor as well.. so I truly think so.. I will look through and confirm when I can

Also i will do some quick play throughs on some of the earlier rotk games.. see what they have for events in this areas

So I was going through the event options.. definitely nothing can be done about the emperor in a custom event..

Only way I know to become emperor is rule enough land.. or make an event that takes the city holding the emperor.. overthrow as the choice

no i mean how you can change the ruler (not the emperor). for example how to dethrone Cao Cao and make Cao Pi ruler without Cao Cao dying. I don't think that's an option. I am asking because in the late Three Kingdoms era, there were lots of dethronization events by Simas mainly!! I am glad that you are looking into this, we can learn things quickly with this way!! Check for events, i will continue to search online the timeline. Re-creating events with choices may disable some historical events, but i will create aaall the remaining ones (for example Guan Yu can return back before Bai Ma, so Yan Liang and Wen Chou remained alive, but Guan Du happened normally for the history to continue and Guan Yu returned to Liu Bei, but Liu Bei never went to Yuan Shao, because if you destroy a force via editor you can never create it with the custom editor which is very very unfortunate).

The only way you're going to get an exhaustive list of conditions is to find them somewhere on some website in Chinese and then translate that. There's nothing like that in English, and trying to do full testing of everything takes forever.

When I was looking for emperor de thronement i did notice ya can change rulers of a nation.. so I feel that it is possible.. needs more testing.. will try a test phase.. whence confirmed I may start making events in the later periods.. it's unfortunate it's come to us to finish kiwis game lol.. but this could be a cool end game project

yes indeed!!! Under what option in the event editor you can change the ruler WITHOUT HAVING THE PREVIOUS ONE TO BE KILLED??? It would be very helpful to create some late game events with that way!!! As Sima's had taken control over Wei's emperor and dethroned them many times

if we only could CREATE FORCES VIA CUSTOM EDITOR.... Guan Du event would be editable, so we could have both Yan Liang/Wen Chou alive and Yuan Shao's separation of kingdom between his sons... there are some limitations in the editor so you cannot completeley change the history by mantaining the core parts
