2 - It won't work on the major factions like Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Suns, Yuan Shao, etc. All you can do is keep checking as you grow bigger or the target grows smaller, but 7-8 cities isn't enough to get it to work, you probably need at least double that. Boosting relations might help a little bit.
3 - You can probably see all those bonds in one of the scenarios like Gathering of Heroes, no one has put together a full list in English to my knowledge.
4 - Personally I like Illustrious General because it comes with Local Troop tactic. Sun Jian's seems good. And I noticed in my last game as Zhou Yu (under Sun Ce) that our deployed units would lose morale very very slowly, to the point it seemed broken. But a lot of them are good, you just have to know how to utilize the bonuses well.
I haven't found anything redeeming about Adamant Guardian, though.
any prestige is good as long you're capable utilizing it.
warn doesn't work if you play hard difficulty the AI refuse to surrender it usually cap at 79% negotiation rate.
2. Warn works best if you go it alone and have a high orator skill. Pay attention to the expected result, anything other than loss decided is fair game. You can still delegate yourself to the task even if your strategist does not recommend you.
3. Unique bonds are mostly limited to rulers. Some exceptions being Yan Liang and Wen Chou, Guan Yu and Zhang Liao, The two Zhangs of Wu. No i havent seen a list either.
4. Mastermind, it comes with a unique tacticsthat lets you GAIN troops when attacking. Combine that with a debilitating strategy and you can gain up to 300 troops per hit. You can even go beyond the number of troops your rank+title allows. Only allowed to command 9000? No problem have 1000 more, heck have 30000 in the command of each general for a total of 300,000. Once you gain these troops, they are reflected in your city, they are yours until death or plague. Veey useful when the population is not giving you enough troops.
