never play that class so not sure but from what i heard you do quests. If fame can't increase anymore you move to other city, repeat.

Make friends and have them send letters.

Fame increases as you make friends the more connected the officer you befriended the higher the increase, by connected I mean how many siblings or special bonds they have someone like Sun Jian who has several children will give a bigger boost to fame then Liao Hua who doesn’t have any.

If you mean renown that increases as you do requests as patriot prestige minus assassin which gains infamy when you kill an officer of your choice.
