Introduction

Having played through Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII for quite some time, one of the most fun and exciting aspects was being able to create and develop unique custom officers. With the incorporation of an Officer CG Edit tool, the possibilities became limited only by the artwork that we had available to us. I started searching through US websites and realized that there were no modding communities for me to find portraits… As such I turned to other sites such as ali213 and 3dm. These last couple of weeks, I have put together quite a bit of the artwork that I’ve collected from various websites and modding communities. I hope that by sharing these, players in the community will find renewed interest in the franchise leading up to the Power-Up Kit’s release in a few months (fingers crossed!). Also, it is my hope that we can build up a modding community of our own, whether it be portraits, music, scenarios, or anything else.

Version 1.2

+ New Portraits for all four categories, Male Military, Male Domestic, Female Military and Female Domestic.
+ New Alternate ROTK 11(I think) Ma Chao Portrait.
+ Most images in Male Military + Male Domestic and Female Military photoshopped to remove the red watermarks that they came with.
+ Animations made for all 4 of the Famitsu + Koji Kikkawa + Lawson DLC Portraits
+ New and improved version of the San13PicTool guide. Please check it out!

Version 1.25

+ Corrected all smaller portrait (Wide, Small and Extra Small) alpha channels so you don't need to toggle transparencies when importing into the Standard ROTK interface
+ Removed 1 Male Military Portrait due to messed up alpha channels. Removed 1 Female Domestic given that it was a copy of an official ROTK portrait
+ Corrected animations for Female Domestic # 2.
+ Corrected missing transparencies.

The only things that I will not include are NSFW materials and non-canon portraits [real-life portraits, anime, etc.]

PS: As was pointed out by Ʋєяєтняαgηα, the Sanpictool takes a while to load in between galleries and when saving. Be patient and it should work (though it takes like 25-40 seconds)

If you're playing in the PUK, make sure you edited the pictures under the "pk" tab.

ahh so it's in PK san Bin ? gotcha I'll try that.
btw what's the number files for PK?

1 picture 128x128 at 20
another is at 22 but this gonna need new technique, as per now I just cut and replace the picture of officer I want to change using GIMP, it's currently working.

Dumb question, but how do I apply the downloaded file?

Also is there a way to make the 3d in-game model of Custom Officer the same as a Historical Officer? For example even if my CO has Lu Bu's portrait, the in-game body is some generic male warrior and not Lu Bu.

Thank you for your reply. I tried open the save file by using san13editorPK, and edit the wife character, but the Face is blank, no number on it. I tried put Diaochan face number, save, then reload save file, but the face didn't change.

you need to know battle and the base picture number to change it, using special picture for normal officer is not recomended since they have 2 different picture while normal one only have one set of picture, better to use normal officer instead.

btw better to create backup before changing it just incase it gets corrupted.

From what I saw from the editor, It seems to me that only original has battle face and domestic face number.

The wife character is not normal or historic character, but an original character when the character met his friend and he recommend his daugther to marry you. The wife doesnt have face number in edit, but has battle and domestic face numbers in hidden properties. I tried to change battle and domestic face number to but it doesnt work.

easy way to solve this is to directly change the face trough pictool and replace the picture with the one you desire, since the save game only saving the picture number not the picture itself, the game will always use the game default picture as how it will display officer picture.
