Low framerate on most settings. . . help?
So, I'm a huge Monster Hunter fan, and a friend recommended this game since I was looking for something similar on PC. Unfortunately, the game is running in slow motion unless I put all graphics settings to minimum, and run it in 800*600 resolution. Also, even WITH everything at minimum, I'm getting around 10 FPS in town. Can anyone offer some tips that might improve performance? Here's my computer info:

Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel i7-4720HQ @ 2.6 GHz
RAM: 16GB

I'd really appreciate any help. . . Please and thank you?

What video card are you running? Might just be an unlucky combination, do you have the stability mode on?

Laptop users need to force game to use your dedicated graphic chip instead of the intel hd chip.

. . . Ouch. I think the integrated Intel chip is all I've got in this machine; first game that's had a problem with it >_>

Low framerate in town/village is actually very common, regardless of setup. It's an issue with the port not being very good. I just shrug and accept it because all you really do in town is talk and buy supplies.

Hey guys, I just bought it myself and am on a laptop with sufficient specifications and I am experiencing this ultra slowmotion mode everywhere. I'm not great with computers... I adore monster hunter too, could someone explain to me where to go and what to change to make it run normally? :(

Thank you very much in advance.

It's a common problem that ports are hardware hungry. Seems that you need a fast card to run this game with a constant 30 fps (which is the max for this game). I have a GTX780 and never have any slowdowns. Don't forget to check "stability mode" in the settings if you have a NVIDA card.

The graphic power of an integrated chip is at least 10 times lower than that of an current graphic card.

Also make shure you run the game in fullscreen, running it in a window seems to lead to terrible lags.

Wrong, game runs fine on a gtx560, 4gb ram, i3 rig. Consistant framerate for at least 14 hours.

I'm kind of curious if this game is CPU bound or something. Odd thing is, on my PC (tower) it runs smooth as a babies butt. No lag or stutter anywhere. Be it the town, house, or battlefields. But on my laptop (i7-4700MQ GTX 770 8GB RAM) it lags on the battlefield and in the house. No** Lags in the village though.

It seems to run worse on laptops for whatever reason, but then again why would you ever play video games on a laptop?

I thought the same way pretty much. But I bring my laptop with me when I go out to see friends and what not. It's just convient to have one when you wanna game on the go.

Also, some of us are students, and buying separate computers for school and play is not really an option?

I was just pointing out the fact that it runs a lot smoother on my PC than it does on my laptop. Just personal experience because a friend and my girlfriend's laptop has lags even though the specs are still top notch. Just a general idea that this game, doesn't run too great on laptops.
