I've verified the game cache as well. If there was something weird with the RTP you'd think that once it was deleted and re-installed it would be fixed, but that's not the case.
Edit: I just installed it on a different computer in my house and it works fine there. I double checked to see if the RTP files have the same names and they do...
Edit 2: Well I went to the official RPG maker site and downloaded the RPG Maker 2003 RTP. It worked. As far as I can tell steam is downloading version 1.0 of the RTP and the program is looking for 1.10a, which is what's on the website...
They wanted to Tell me in the other Thread as soon the New RTP is uploaded.
Maybe your Problem is caused by that.
They exidentally mixed up the rm2k and the rm2k3 rtp.
Iam also waiting for the release. They said today is Holiday in Japan and i believe they need something from the japan devs, thats maybe why she said that they get to it after the hollidays.
Means if we are lucky we get it Today, or next Monday. Would mean a Weekend without rm2k3 for us. Bad for those who allready bought it.
