Exterminator Phone Number

Did anyone write down the phone number on the exterminator's card and use it on the phone in chapter 5? I'm curious if it does anything. I assumed it was going to be part of a puzzle so I never wrote it down myself.

-You use the exterminator's card to enter the bar in chapter 3
-You get the phone number to use the phone from the nurse after meeting Mabuka in chapter 5

If you have already played the game through once you can get the phone number you get from the nurse later in the doctors office and use it on a second play through. The busy tone will come in and Fran will say she already has an appointment even though you haven't reached that part of the game yet

For a moment, I wondered if maybe Fran did killed him. Though after playing game longer I do not know if anything is coherent at all :-/
