Hello AlienJesus,
Sorry that you're having issues with the potion puzzle in Chapter 2, Part II of the game. It's hard to say what you're missing to solve the puzzle.
The easiest way for me to troubleshoot your issue is to take a look at your autosave game file; anything else is guesswork.
The autosave game file may be found here (on Windows computers):
c:\users\<Your Windows Login Name>\Appdata\LocalLow\Killmonday Games AB\Fran Bow
and the file itself is called:
FranBow_0.save
(There is also a file there called FranBow_0.jpg, but I do not need that file.)
If you have trouble finding the "\Appdata\" folder, or seeing the .jpg file extension, you may need to follow this guidance to make that folder visible in File Explorer (it is hidden by default):https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nJXT6pO6FZgtg6Lpm02coKudtwo9VdZ0/view.
Please upload the FranBow_0.save file to a cloud service and provide me with the URL to that file in a reply post in this thread.
I'll take a look at the file and provide additional guidance about your next steps to solve the puzzle.
I'm sorry for your inconvenience.
How do I find that? I opened up the game's local files but couldn't find any of what you mentioned. Not sure if I'm looking at the wrong thing or what? Thanks for getting back to me quick btw.
Hello again AlienJesus,
Are you playing Fran Bow on a Windows computer? What do you mean when you say you opened up the "game's local files"? The autosave is located here:
c:\users\<Your Windows Login Name>\Appdata\LocalLow\Killmonday Games AB\Fran Bow\
What happened when you began navigating to this location:
c:\users<Your Windows Login Name>\Appdata ?
The "\Appdata\" folder is hidden by default
Here's a screenshot (on my Windows 11 computer) of what my computer looks like as I begin navigating to that location:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Cm_uaXqsFyrX2sRGjBGoljpsZJLWiXZt/view?usp=sharing.
When you get to:
c:\users\<Your Windows Login Name>\
You'll either see a folder called "\Appdata\" or you won't. If you don't see the folder, then you have to change the settings for the "File Explorer" program you are using to navigate with.
Instructions for doing this are in this file:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nJXT6pO6FZgtg6Lpm02coKudtwo9VdZ0/view
Windows 10 instructions are on page one of the document at the link above, and Windows 11 instructions are on page two.
Once you've gotten to the "\Appdata\" folder, continue navigating down until you get to this location:
c:\users\<Your Windows Login Name>\Appdata\LocalLow\Killmonday Games AB\Fran Bow.
You should then see a list of files (you may have fewer files in your folder if you are not creating manual saves while playing the Fran Bow game):
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TKuE8PFbL4neyBv0FNY2rezBwIB47bHB/view?usp=sharing.
Please upload the file called:
FranBow_0.save
to a cloud service and provide the link to that file in the cloud in a reply post in this thread so I can see where you are in the game.
I'll provide you with hints to get you on your way again.
I look forward to hearing from you again.
Thanks
