Can't Progress. Bridge Bug in Chapter 2!

I'm at the part where I have to cross the bridge with Mr. Midnight and the game won't let me scroll to continue passing the bridge. I've tried exiting and playing the game over again, but it still won't let me through. Can someone help me?
