Hello isopod,
I believe that you are here (screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-pq43VUAQxfrP3jGrgoSiondyqCYxnwz/view?usp=sharing), right? This screenshot shows "bloody world" (after Fran takes her pills), and when she is in "normal world", there is a bridge crossing over to the left, just as you describe.
If this is where you are when experiencing the issue, a few gamers have had the issue as you describe, where the game camera does not advance to the left as it should. Your autosave/manual save at this point is a bit bugged here, and while the cause of this hasn't been found yet, a simple workaround has been found, which should allow you to continue your gameplay using your autosave/manual save game.
Here are the steps:
- Start up the Fran Bow game.
- Select "Continue" from the game's "Main" menu.
- Select either the autosave (top slot), or the manual save game that you created where Fran is at the tree at the beginning of the tree bridge
- When the save game loads, the game screen shows an "eyeball" on the RIGHT side of the screen. Screenshot here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Pj3snXdHkjHMFIj-Xmw8sySuMnLOPiZw/view?usp=sharing. Click on that eyeball to return to the prior game screen (on the right). Do not move Fran to the left as you've probably been doing previously. This will lock up the game as you've seen.
- Once you're on that prior game screen, click on the eyeball on the left side of that screen to return to the "tree-bridge" screen, where the save game started.
- Now you should be able to move Fran to the left side of the "tree-bridge" screen and proceed in the game normally. The camera should now move the scene to the left as it was designed to do.
Leaving the "tree-bridge" screen and then returning to it "fixes" whatever is causing the camera to be frozen when the autosave and/or manual save were originally created.I would appreciate a reply post in this thread to let me know if this "workaround" works for you as it has for others who have experienced the issue.
I am sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced. I hope you can enjoy the rest of the Fran Bow game, and have no more issues while playing. And thanks for your patience.
You're welcome. I'm glad this worked for you. Thanks for letting me know.
Hello leos_rats,
You're welcome. Thanks for posting here to let me know that this works on your PS5 too. I appreciate it.
Hi Tessa,
I'm glad the issue was fixed for you too. Thanks for posting here. I hope you enjoy playing the rest of the game.
