how do you solve the puzzle when itward traps you?

Go to the roof

Basically stay downstairs and take the pill and then also feed the robotic bunny a carrot click on all the cards and it gives you the way for the combination on the roof. It's pretty difficult I'm still having a hard time figuring it out.

First, grab the battery, pressing the button on the west wall, close to the plushy bunny. Next, grab the wrench on the table and put the battery in. The elevator should be functional .Now, make sure you remember the numbers on the cards. That's the order you should press the buttons when you get to the roof. In the room with the cards, take your pills. You''ll notice that the cards now have an arrow and a different number written in blood.(Feed the bunny once to read the card on the wall and three times for the achievement.) That's the number of times you should press the buttons. The "real" cards give you the order and the "bloody" cards give you the number of times you should press (Left or Right). I recommend you write down the numbers cause its a bit confusing. Now, get to the roof and solve the puzzle. Have fun! :D

Why are people not mentioning the fact that the damn battery will retract back into the floor before you have a chance to grab it? I press the blue button right by the elevator and I walk over to grab the battery but I can't reach it in time. Wtf is that?

Edit: I finally got it, and I swear the game was messing with me on purpose. I remembered that with my new laptop it's super easy to record gaming clips so I recorded me trying to get that battery. The ONE time I recorded myself trying to get the battery, it worked.
