whats the truth about the twins?

whats the true history about the twins?
- on one side we have Oswald story, where he sew the two togheter then he realizes his failure he throws her body(ies) into the wheel and seal it
- on the other side we have Itward version where the two kill each other and Itward gives them a second chance, to enforce this version we have the two bodies inside that mirror proving that they died before being sewed togheter.

this part of the game has a little confusing, and what was that ghost? one of twins? at the end there are two ghosts, one with a wound into the abdomen

By mercy killing the twins they are finaly seperate beings again Which is why their corpses are shown apart in the mirror.
The twins also Had an Immense hatred in their hearts that they refused to let go of even in death.
They hated eachother becaused they looked so alike, they hated their father because he was never around, they hated their mother for treating them so coldly, they hated Oswald for sewing them together, and last they put all the blame of their problems on the only person who tried to help them.
Itwards spell not only put them out of their misery but it cleansed their souls and allowed them to see past their hatred and realize they did have a friend in the world.
Then when you find them on Itwards ship seperate and holding hands it shows that Itwards plan succeeded and they are both much better off then when you met them.
They have now realized that eachother is the best ally they have ever had.
