Hello YingYang,
Sounds like you might not yet have all the items in inventory you need to make the door for the well. Here's some items to consider:
You have a doorknob, but you can't just put the doorknob on the well to make a door. What else would be nice to have?
There IS an actual DOOR you can pick up in this chapter. Have you seen it?
It is in plain sight in one of the areas of the game you can still get to. The cursor changes from an arrow to the "hand cursor" when you put the cursor on it, but there ARE a lot of items with descriptions in this area, so you may need to click in many areas to actually get the item. But it DOES look like a door, so that might narrow it down for you.
The next hint tells you which screen to go to.
The door can be found on the screen that Fran started this section of the game in. It's the screen where Fran came out of the drainage pipe, that has the musical instruments (piano, trumpet, drums). Click on the door and Fran will pick it up.
There's one other item you'll need to make the door that you didn't mention (so I believe you haven't found it yet).
It's in Antonio's house (I know you've been there--it's the place with the ants in bloody world and where you got the blueberries).
Have you picked up the item in the cupboard in Antonio's house?
Glue can be very helpful sometimes.
I leave the rest of the solution to you, but feel free to post again if you wish. I hope this is helpful.
