Fran Bow Chapter 4 Help!!

I'm playing on Windows and I have the bug where Itward says to follow him to his ship but he just stays there, music and audio is still playing, Itward and Mr.Midnight still blink, the purse is not visible and neither are the eyes/arrows, Fran Bow is staying perfectly still, I have tried exiting the game through the "quit" button on the menu, what should I do?

I'm sorry that you're experiencing a bug!

I've uploaded a save game file which you can use to resume your gameplay just before your encounter with Itward in Chapter 4, Part I.

The file you need to download is found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14PuNjNpKzwQQPe1FLNphIyL8OghAZLfe/view?usp=sharing.

Please copy this file to this location:

c:\users\<Your Windows Login Name>\Appdata\Roaming\Fran_Bow\savedata.ini

and overwrite any "savedata.ini" file already in that location.

Please also be aware that the "\Appdata\" folder is hidden by default on Windows computers and so is the ".ini" file extension on the "savedata.ini" filename. If you can't find the "\Appdata\" folder, you may need to change the defaults for "File name extensions", and for "Hidden items" by following these instructions: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nJXT6pO6FZgtg6Lpm02coKudtwo9VdZ0/view.

Once you've copied the "savedata.ini" file to correct place on your computer, please start up the Fran Bow game and select the "Continue" menu pick from the game's "Main" menu.

This will take you to the last screen just before Itward's trap (with the bottle of Fran's pills) is sprung on her. You'll need to click on the pill bottle for the trap to be sprung. And then help Fran escape from Itward's trap by using her knife in inventory.

You'll need to repeat Fran's conversation with Itward, and then you should be able to get past the point where the game hung for you using your original gameplay.

I did test this "savedata.ini", and it worked for me, so I believe it should for you as well.
