Definitely being serious! I love Fran Bow, and I would also like to know if the devs are planning to do more with it. A prequel game would be great, showcasing the lives of Fran's mother and Aunt Grace when they were children. I'd pay some decent coin for that story if the gameplay quality was maintained.

Hello Mrs. Brisby,

As I think you already know from your participation in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/362680/discussions/0/1742229167225787019/#c1742229167225800708, Killmonday Games will make Fran Bow 2.

The most recent mention about Fran Bow 2 by the developers at Killmonday Games was in a recent YouTube video (called "KMG Sundae Deluxé" and published on January 12, 2020): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YNCALT3NpQ&t=21m55s. This video confirmed that there will be a Fran Bow 2, but gave no further details. (If the above link doesn't take you directly there, manually advance the video to time mark 21 minutes and 55 seconds to go straight to the Fran Bow 2 discussion.)

Prior to that, this YouTube Video (called "Week of Bird Intelligence" and published on March 29, 2019): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPKTn4ojBlc had a comment from a gamer (in the comments section for the video, not in the video itself) asking about Fran Bow 2. This screenshot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1sBoTkKwR-h5WJV84Ri25a2QRRbC5J2ns includes Killmonday Games' response to that question, and said the following:

"At the end of this year [2019] we will start pre-production. So a few years more to go :) But it's gonna be epic! Making games takes time! Imagine how a movie or a music album is done... or an illustration book with so many pages that it will take you a few hours to look at... ALL that is creating a game, plus all the coding!!!! and ideas are really hard to refine ;) everything takes much time!"

There isn't any timeline for development to be completed and no release date for Fran Bow 2 at this time.

If you want to know more specifically what Killmonday Games is doing for pre-production of Fran Bow 2, the developers said in this video (called "FRAN BOW 2?!?!?!? [KMG November Special]" and published on November 23, 2018): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rariZEClJzk&t=6m0s that pre-production involves designing the Fran Bow 2 game and writing the manuscript for the game. (If the above link doesn't take you directly there, manually advance the video to time mark 6 minutes and 0 seconds to go straight to the pre-production discussion.)

If you want to keep up with Killmonday Games' plans for Fran Bow 2, consider subscribing to their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/killmondaygames. The developers release new videos on Youtube often to keep their fans up to date on their latest activities. Also consider subscribing to the Fran Bow News and Killmonday Games newsletters, (which can be done on the bottom of their Killmonday Games website's home page: https://www.killmondaygames.com/. They also blog about their activities on that website, so please consider bookmarking the Killmonday Games website as well.

I hope this information has been helpful in answering your question. Feel free to post again if you have other questions.

Hello DarthShiba,

While I believe that everything is still subject to change, and has not been publicly revealed, according to this Killmonday Games' twitter account post: https://twitter.com/killmondaygames/status/1087727084452098049, Fran will be older in the sequel. But who knows, maybe Itward can help Fran visit the past in his flying machine**

** Note that this is NOT a spoiler. I do not know what Killmonday Games has developed for the sequel.

Ahhh, I do not have Twitter so thank you for this information! Interesting how Fran might be older, considering the ending of Fran Bow. That's going to throw a great number of theorists/theories for a loop, assuming a linear timeline. I know I personally was craving more backstory. Hey, just talking about it, I want to boot the game up again this weekend.

Yoo hoo Ms. Foxworth

1) Developers said Fran Bow 2 will have voiced protagonist (but that you could turn it off if you would like)

2) also that Fran Bow 2 would likely be in 3D

3) also more recently the developers said their next project will be a 3D game based around "Benjamin" from Little Misfortune (in other words Fran Bow 2 is probably on hold for now)

*Important*
There will be a livestream on youtube Friday March 20 *noon* eastern time (USA/Canada) showing how to draw Fran Bow/Itward. The developer lady who draws/writes the characters is very genuine, thoughtful and pleasant and might talk a little bit about what's happening with Fran Bow and the new Benjamin project. So if you are stuck inside because of Covid-19 try checking out this stream, tomorrow at 12 p.m. eastern.

The link for the youtube channel on the right hand side of the Fan Bow store page.
