The reason why we are changing to Unity is because of the flexibility it gives us to work and make Fran available for different platforms. Would this mean we will change everything? Not at all! Any changes in Fran Bow 2 compared to Fran Bow will be because of the story, and how we want to present it. It would be the same deal regardless of the engine we use. But I understand your worry 100%! Change can be a scary thing, but it's in good hands :)
Ah, and we would have to change the engine anyway, because the support for our version of Gamemaker has ended! :'(
