How is the Remastered Soundtrack different
I've found the existence of a "Remastered Soundtrack", available when you search for "Fran Bow" but not advertised on the store page. How is it different from the "original" soundtrack? Should I buy it if I already own the previous one? Thank you!

Hi!

Thanks for bring up that the album doesn't show on the storepage, we will look in to that!

The remastered version of the album means that it's been mastered to sound well from all different audio outputs, like TV/car/headphones etc, and there might be a bit more "juice" to it, but not a big reason to buy it again if you already own the soundtrack :) It has been mastered to go with the console version of Fran Bow, coming later next year. The same version will be available to anyone who already owns the game here on Steam, free of charge.

Some can't hear the difference really and that's fine, it was just a little treat we wanted to do now when we could afford to have it mastered :)

Thank you for the reply. Now I'm curious how it would sound.

Sounds great! Did you wrote it? Which original track is it a remix of?

Hi, I own the game and the original soundtrack but did not receive the remastered soundtrack"free of charge".

I bought the original soundtrack DLC in Feb 2019.
I bought the game on steam in Nov 2017.
I played the demo on steam in Jan 2016.

Hello DeadlyDan,

The message about a "free version" that you're quoting is referring to the Fran Bow game itself, not the soundtrack. The sentence "The same version will be available to anyone who already owns the game here on Steam, free of charge." is referring to the revision of the Fran Bow game that will result when the console and revised computer versions of the game are published, not the soundtrack. When that original reply that you quoted was published (in 2019), it was hoped that the revised version of the Fran Bow game for both consoles, and for computers (Windows/Mac, and Linux) would be ready "later next year" (in 2020). Unfortunately, that schedule was not met, and, as of right now, the Fran Bow updates for both computers and consoles is expected to be published by the end of this year (2021). This is the free version update that all Steam gamers who already own the current version of the Fran Bow game will receive once published. This is what the quoted sentence above refers to--the game itself, not the soundtrack. You will receive an updated version of the Fran Bow game itself once published, free of charge because you already own the current version of that game on Steam.

The remastered soundtrack is available as a paid DLC for all gamers, just as the original soundtrack is as well. There is no free update for the remastered soundtrack for previous purchasers of the original soundtrack.

I'm sorry for the confusion.
