I found this post by searching if the game had any inspirations or connections with American Mcgee's Alice, seriously,i cannot get that out my mind while playing this game (the sequel Alice madness returns as well, especially with the minigames and art style change).
The art style and especially the soundtrack comes to mind.I could not find anything about it online but seriously,if you have not played American McGee's Alice and madness returns, its definitely worth the time, you can especially hear the similarities between the soundtrack of Fran Bow in the first Alice game.
