Cameras and Controls - Your Options

We all know people are struggling with the camera and controls so I have made a video showcasing how one would play using alternate options.

I was challenged to beat the Expert Arena in version 0.5.1.1 using SCC. It is done.

Please bare in mind I've just learned how to play with SCC in the past day or so.

My thoughts are that the camera is personally too jerky for me to play using SCC although I would if that jerkiness could be removed. Currently the only way to avoid the jerkiness is not to add momentum to your attacks. This can work but I personally love going or big hits!

I think I'll personally stick with MCC(mixed camera control) This is simply using the spacebar when it will help you center yourself when you feel you've lost control of your character. There is no way around it, you need to use spacebar to explore the dungeon and for some, the arena or dungeon fighting is near impossible without being able to center our character.

I suggest you not to use the space bar nor the middle mouse button unless that your character is too close to a wall and cannot be seen. If you keep rotating the camera it will become an annoying need, which can be avoided by getting accostumed to a static camera.
Movement is relative to character orientation, so A is always clockwise and D counter-clockwise. Just get used to it and you will never suffer with the camera.

Personally I set the CamFollow to 1 in in ini and it helped me an insane amount but using that might confuse or make some people motion sick so not for everyone.

For anyone who needs help using the CamFollow option type C:\Users\YOURPCNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Exanima in the windows search bar. The file is in the Exanima folder and is the Configuration Settings text file. Change "Cam Follow = 0" to Cam Follow = 1".

Yes, unfortunately the Cam Follow = 1 solution simply does not work as thought-intended for myself and a few others as SteveX has described.

SteveX if you don't want to get used to it or just can't, then use the camera. But don't tell others what they can or cannot do.

This thread is for the community. To help and to grow anyone who may be struggling with the games current camera and controls. Perhaps they will become better through alternate controls and slowly work their way into the more tecnical setups when they're ready.
