Keys?!
Guys, I'm losing it... I can't find the second or third key... On my previous playthrough I had 2 keys, but I died because I'm stoopid.

Now, I only found the first key, the one in the table, I know there was one under a table, but I can't find it... And one on an undead inventory... But I got to the point of killing everyone in the world... Even the guys who trusted me... I cried a little bit, but I need to get out...

I didn't found it... I have pretty good equipment and I don't want to lose it if I can avoid it... Any ideas? I need halp!

same boat as you, i've only ever found the 2nd key once, and that was from killing a random undead... however this time I'm deadset on not losing my progress, so savescumming / RUINING THE GAME EXPERIENCE is my method now

I get lost really easy in this game too, so now I leave a trail of breadcrumbs (or pots or books or whatever random garbage item I find) in door ways and intersections to mark where I have been and what I have explored

... I should do that... I'm kinda lost now, damn dungeon think he can beat us.

The key you find ON the table next to the dead man is the only one you need to reach the second level.

The second key is on the side under the table where the dead man and an undead are. It is only to unlock a small room with a chest and a dead girl inside(tells a story). Only thing i can think of is perhaps you pushed it somehow.

Third one is found carried by a guy with a two handed axe in a dark corridor which you enter through the door next to the big barricade near the blue jar. It's to unlock a small side area. Maybe he went off to somewhere ?

Might be a bug but i have not seen such a bug in all the time(its a lot of time) i have played, keys not being in their spot. Think one time the axe guy was missing but it happened only once and im not sure it was a bug at all.

Yeah man, I know, I reached the second area, but I want to explore everything. I don't feel prepared without my 3 keys.

I'm searching the first area again, on a hunt. I am the butcher... He thinks he can escape....

There are 4 keys on the first level, with not order or whatsoever:

1. Over a table where a dead body lays. This one opens two doors:
* West of the starting room, a zone with cells for animals apparently.
* South of the starting room. What seems to be a conference room with many chairs.

2. In a room with two corpses that apparently fought till die, under the table. This one open the other door in the same room.

3. In the dark south-west corridor, next the barricaded entrance. A zombie carries this one. It opens two doors:
* The one at the end of the other extreme of the corridor. It leads to a court room (with bench chairs and a couple of cells).
* The door that leads to a jail in this court room.

4. In the jail mentioned in 3. (the one with bar cells, not rooms). It is on the last cell, and open the same cell door.

I can attach pictures if needed.

Eeps ^^' i thought about adding spoilers but.... everything is a spoiler! anyways the doors that each key open is not a big spoiler, since if you find a locked door you just try each key you carry.

yeah that was very helpful, finally found that key in the room with the two bodies... even with max zoom, was kinda hard to see that...

all that time spent searching and the unlocked door resulted in ... another pair of leather glove...YES.
Hehehe no luckie there. However, since that's a reinforced chest it have more chances of having good loot. Best luck the next time!

Thanks for the Key Location post. I've finished all three areas (levels/floors) in the game but wasn't able to unlock the door that is directly west of the starting location of the game. I do have all four keys described above, even tried all the keys in my inventory once I finished the game. Only other door that wont unlock for me is in level 3 - where the pentagon key is supposed to work, I think, but does not. Seems that I have hit a glitch?

Yah, there is a bug with the pentagon key. If i understood Madoc correctly (and he was not teasing me) it was supposed to open an hidden chest.

Yeah the door the W and S of starting point open with the same key. If one isn't unlocking, you prob have the wrong key, it is easy to get em switched up. (Hope ya make it in there, a couple decent items in there.)

The door to the south opened right up but the same key won't work on the door to the west of the start location. Not a big deal since I found all the good gear in the later levels anyways. Maybe I'll start over and try the door again. If I could check the computer coding for the door and the key that I have...I hope the download for the game didn't give me a bad file, sounds like way too much file diving for me though.
Murf May 9, 2015 @ 5:31am
I have never heard of that key only working on one of those doors., though I suppose it is possible. After hundreds and hundreds of runs, that key has always opened those two doors. Interesting to see what your new game shows. (Course it's a big deal, it's part of the map you haven't seen yet ;) )

I have found a fifth key!

5. In the courtroom on the desk there is a strongbox with a key which unlocks the nearby storage room.

Also, some clarification on the fouth key, it is found in a desk at the end of the jail area.
