Step 1: Find a key.

Step 2: Find a locked door.

Step 3: Open your inventory.

Step 4: Doubleclick on the key. Your mouse cursor will change to a targeting cursor.

Step 5: Click on the door. If it's the rigtht key then you'll hear the door unlock and can open it at your leisure.

I hope that helps :).

to use keys you double-click on them and then click on the thing you want to unlock, doubleclick to open/use any usable objects depending on what key you got, one opens the doors next to the starting room, the other opens the door in the room with 2 dead bodies

lo yes it was that key no matter i just got killed lol.
Yeah, I had that clipping error, too. Keys are wonderful once you understand how to use them right, and that should REALLY be mentioned within the game as a hint the first time you find one.

Yeah I had know idea how to use keys until I found this thread, also I just figured out that some boxes/chest could be looked in by double clicking earlier today. So yeah they really should put this in the tutorial because it's pretty important and I haven't seen any info regarding these things in game. :sad_creep:

Edit: I'm stupid it was right in front of me

All that info is actually in the quick start guide which is like the first thing you see on your first play. If you ever need to reference it again, you can find it in the settings menu under 'Controls'. It goes over just about everything you can do in the game, all inputs and actions, as well as what the stats on your weapons and armor mean. Keys are covered here! ;)

Ahhh so it is, I must have just completely overlooked it because I've looked at the quickstart guide quite a few times lol. :nonplussed_creep:

A tip that isn't in the quick start guide, always try to use your surroundings. Objects that you CAN move will always benefit you if you can act quickly and place it in your enemy's path. This can be chairs, smaller tables (i think there's a table you can move), hedgehogs, the long benches, and lots of other stuff. The enemy may path around it but it never hurts if you have time before conflict. I have saved myself many times by placing benches between and the foe(s). Placing chairs and buckets on heads (a la trailer) is a bit trickier because it will require pinpoint accuracy, that's why I recommend just placing larger obstacles. You can quickly just maneuver them between you and the enemy without the struggle of landing it on their soft, ugly skull.

Very cool I will try to experiment with this, I walked into one of the spike barricade type thing earlier and my character just fell on top of it and flopped around for a min, it was pretty awesome. I also lol everytime I'm running and trip on something and fall flat on my face, I don't know why but it just crack's me up. Maybe cuz he just falls face first and doesn''t put his arms out to break the fall.
