Half-Sword
Can anyone confirm that using a two-handed blade with the alternate attack is considered a parrying technique (or thrust) known as half-swording? If so, this is probably the first game to utilize such technique, no?

I don't know if this is the first game using Half-sword but I loved it when I saw it. Although it is maybe not so correct when fighting without armor because in Italian fencing (Fiore de' Liberi, Filippo Vadi for example in 15th century) it is used for armored fencing. Instead in 16th century Achille Marozzo uses it with his spadone (which is longer than a 2h sword) to fight against hafted weapons. Anyway Wallerstein is a great codex for armored fencing and this game is greatly fond on armored fencing, so it is no bad to use it as attack, in my humble opinion

Chivalry Medieval Warfare mods, let you use 2h swords with half swording on all attacks, Mordhau will have it, m&b mods had it. It only uses half swording for thrusts as its the only way to do thrusts precisely with such big weapon and maybe because it looks great too.

Great news - in upcoming patch 2h thrusts are even better!

In "For Honor" a game that will be released in 2016 the knights also use a lot of half-swording.
I like this technique a lot, it adds some realism to the game by useing actual historical fencing techniques.

Did you know that stances have been discussed as well. So we may get to see things such as Vom Tag and Ochs Pflug and Alber. Would be amazing and add even more depth (if that's possible) to the combat system.

I would love it ! Even to add "bindings" as often it happens and have the chance to react at the strenght of the opponent, have the fast stabbing with spear, the hits with the "fake" edge of the sword... So many improvements I would love to see... I hope DEVs wil keep improving their so far excellent work

Yes binding it in concept would be very cool, implementing that would be another matter. Considering working the bind is half of long sword combat lol.

For medieval armored Longsword it is surely! For renaissance Spadone would be really good implementing "tramazzone" "molinetto" "falso impuntato" and many others hits too. Tramazzone would be great even for the pollaxe (as seen for the Jeu de l'hache which is 15th century, pretty medieval xD) This is surely hard to do but it may add a so high realism on this game...
