Is there any walkthrough or guide detailing what there is in the level? I wanna see if there's something big that I've missed

There's the letter detailing the possibility of another way to the surface through a portal. Has that been implemented yet or is it just flavour text so far?

Exanima has a wiki that is labeled "Sui Generis Wiki" because that is the game Baremettle pitched on Kickstarter and Exanima is a prelude, they haven't split the wiki in two yet. The wiki has a whole page devoted to level 8 with a (useful)map, loot table, and enemy list but I think the wiki got trolled because somebody put a silver amulet from Skyrim in the notable loot list for level 8. The map is legitimate though and gives far more information than the maps present within Exanima.

No way to the surface has been implemented yet, that would probably be an ending for the game and there are still more levels planned by the developers.

Google exanimap, it's an interactive map that helped me a ton. It's not going to give you tips or anything but hopefully it will help you out.
