Is this game similar to Half Sword?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2397300/Half_Sword/

Is this a more isometric version? I tried demo and it's pretty neat enemies retreat, you can disable them with severe limb damage blows, they even run away and scream in agony (Im thinking of buying this game to get that fix in)

Not really no, its a top down RPG kinda game. But more like your play a character as if you were mind controlling a body that you have no idea how to really control and so you clunk around swinging and tripping all over and somtimes falling into a chasm or getting stuck in a barrel.. lol The look is medieval though.

Exanima devs should really look at half sword and maybe contact their developers to see how they made the characters not trip and fall so much.
When I see something laying on the floor in Half Sword game I just run right into it which kicks it away. If I see some barrel or box I run into it so it falls over and its contents is revealed to me.
If I do this i Exanima my character will get stuck or faceplant instantly even if I just walk into it alot of the time.

And if the combat would get ruined by increased stability in Exanima then maybe just have the increase while walking around out of combat. Because It is beyond annoying to fall on everything and being more afraid of stairs and holes in the ground then actual enemies.

Exanima and Half Sword are not very similiar except both are medieval era, physics based combat, sort of dungeon based map on both(so far) and also for the current demo i Half Sword both are roguelite(ish).

Blocks are more common in Exanima I would argue.
Try both, they are cool games that are truly unique.

you sure you played half sword? The character stumbles around and falls for no apparent reason all the time. It's physics are really unstable atm. Exanima is really polished in comparison.

Not at all, they're going for entirely different combat styles.
