damage from bumping in testing build = not good
so apparently in the testing build you now take damage from running into walls and falling over, which is fine, but what I have noticed is that I often take damage from hitting enemies?

hitting enemies as in, hitting them with my weapon, and I've also noticed that even lightly tapping into them with my character makes me take an unreasonable amount of damage

might just need some tweeking, I'm sure they're still figuring out environmental damage.

yes, it's meant more to be like a feedback than a criticism of the system as a whole

Main thing that is messing me up in Expert Practice. The enemy misses their attack, I come in (enemy hasn't started charging an attack yet either) with my own counterattack. The enemy isn't even close to doing an attack "animation", YET I take almost all my health off by just hitting them, which is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

it's very rough yeah, I think it's fine for falling over or whatever but it always feels awful to take more damage from hitting an enemy than you deal, and made shield enemies more obnoxious, something you have to play around, performing clean swings reduce the self-inflicted damage a ton but every now and then you screw up and lose half your health from walking into a shield without actually being struck and it always feels terrible
I sympathise with your woes but this post is close to 2 years old and you should probably vent your frustration elsewhere, like a new thread

Falling over and tripping definitely ok, just the times when the enemy's hit completely goes through shield as well is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (the shield hit sound plays, not the plate armor metal sound, and the enemy CLEARLY hit my shield but the shield takes NO "damage" but takes 1/4 of my stamina off instead)

I admit, I'm really bad at games, BUT I know when something is pure bs. Just super annoying to barely do damage to the enemy and instead lose 99% of your stamina from bumping your own weapon into the enemy.
This was my main message here and won't continue. It may be an old thread, but it's still "relevant"

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
