It´s funny how their EA info on the steam page says EA will last 6 months, 9 at most. I assume that was written when EA started, which is over 4 years ago :D
I'm not a game designer so I can't really say about that, but that's probably true if they're focusing on it. The thing is that it's not a priority right now and it's hard to say exactly when it will be a priority. I'm going along with a sort of imagined timeline here; they're almost done with thaumaturgy, and once the role system and the rest of the (easier) thaumaturgy types are in place (which I would think maybe could take next year), they'll probably focus on finishing the game's content (i.e. levels and stuff), which I think would probably take under a year. Co-op and pvp are likely to be the next focus after that, so maybe close to two years away? Don't take it from me, though. I'm just making guesses based on stuff that the devs aren't even sure about.
Exanima will have co op. Madoc has confirmed it, and it's on the FAQ.
That's exactly the priority.
People tend to buy cheap games to mess around with friends. I know it's not the cup of tea of everyone but again its a cheap game, a high quality, very polished cheap game.
Plus has very unique art style and gameplay. It doen't matter if people think its good or bad they are going to talk about it.
I like to dream about this game being the next Diablo II. Creating a new genre, becoming a great success. A gem for indie developers to look for inspiration.

They've actually already prototyped LAN multiplayer and actively developing it was a priority a few years back before they shifted priorities, hence the optimism of some people. But yep, pretty sure they shifted priorities because they realised what you said.
