how to enter tournament

if its your first tournament, play a normal/special match first, then a new tournament should appear and you'll be able to enter it. Also, only master rank characters can enter tournaments.

Too bad only master ranked characters can enter. I was hoping to hop on and check it out real quick, but I currently only have an early save. Seems like for early Beta branch at least it'd be good to have the max number of people testing.

Looks like I'll be leveling up tonight!

You only need one or two master rank characters anyways. The goal is to win 3 matches, so you can even skip some fights and still come out on top. Also there is a save wipe coming for arena in the future still, once everything hits stable again, as far as I know.

I can't enter the tournament either. I have all master ranks, I entered the special and waited for the next round of tournament to come around and still cannot enter a tourney.

You need to enter them in advance, so before the day of the tournament.

Only master level characters can enter? That sucks. Once my characters are master I basically have "won" arena and I start a new team :/

What would be the point ? They don't earn more money if you play it 600h instead of 20.

I'm not a big fan of how rewards work either, most of the time you get things you don't really care about. I think it will make more sense when Seasons and armor sets are unlocked.

But yeah, i couldn't care less of most reward i already earned, i wish they'll introduce some kind of choice of the weapon type you may earn or get the money instead of the weapon or some unique weapons you cannot find at the merchant. Cause as it is, the rewards feel kinda useless most of the time.

And honestly, 6 elimination-like matches are not really a challenge or original; i hoped for something more unique like the 1 vs 2/3 we have in the special menu (or maybe there are some but i never had the chance to bump into these). Or maybe i grew too much of a fan of their work, i dunno, but i really had bigger expectations for tournaments.

The point is that game has very little content, so to make you even play 20 hours instead of 10 they made progression boringly slow where you do repetitive fights that just take your time and add nothing like traveling empty space in modern open world games.

But whatever, I'm not trying to argue, I'm just playing devil's advocate cause I had passion for this game like 2-3 years ago and maybe 5 years when I bought it I thought it's gonna be best RPG ever, but now I completely lost interest, game is old, boring, unfinished and novelty wore off completely, Hellsplit arena and Blade & Sorcery has physics too and gives much more controls, so novelty of physics already wore off, the only thing exanima can do to get my interest back is Sui Genesis with lots of RPG content.

Even from a worldbuilding perspective, it'd be a bit annoying going to a high-stakes tournament with ultra-skilled fighters only to see a couple of unarmoured peasants thrown into the fray.

btw if you win 3 tournaments out of 4 you will not be the seasonal winner.
