Favorite Armor Set
What is your favorite armor set in STORY mode.

For me its the Sewer Splint Set, it really fits well into the Dungeon explorer theme. Plus the (special helmet) really sells it. Not sure if the developers made this from scratch, it is very detailed looks great.

2nd to that is the Arena Boss Armor that you CANNOT get :steamsad:

I would have included the Underworld Captain's set but unfortunately the random item generator does not always promise that you get exceptional items to complete the set so I didn't include it. I have had runs where the helm is crude, thigh armor was missing or could only find a rusted set.

Looking forward to future armor sets (hopefully)

Foundry Captain's Set is BIS. Sewer Splint is best looking, and good enough but the stamina damage difference between sewer and Foundry Captain's set becomes pretty noticeable in longer fights in markets/sewers. You don't need exceptional to have it be good enough, also, next patch higher quality drops are going to be reduced again, so expect to have to make rust, ect. work. Jailor Captain's is my runner up, because brigidine is really rare and getting the right/good enough piece plate pieces to get full coverage and good chain to put under it is rare.

Jailers set is really nice too, I just don't like the gloves, they remind me of kitchen mitts lol

Like the Jailers set that is a complete, I think they should include that for the Captains set as well. I usually give the Jailers set to Derrin because he is still fragile at that point and if he dies I consider that run a failure and start over.

My least favorite is the Golem set, I never use it, its very ugly and requires the power source which runs out too fast. Although it does make a nice room decoration. I have learned to make a holding point before crossing through the portal where I frequently go back to and drop off loot. Once everything is complete I go back and decorate. I have some nice screenshots lol.

Cool screenshots! I have sort-of done the same thing, but my room is in the crossroads and it's mainly just a fountain full of parchments and other random gears lol

I like the bronze plate, it's cool but otherwise way too heavy and clunky to fight in.

Would love to see some chain coats added into the game that is long enough to cover the thighs a bit.

I love the blademaster's set, even if its outclassed by the full plate set. I like to collect their helms as trophies.

You mean a hauberk? I like those that cover past the knees and the sleeves only covers up to the elbows or maybe a the first quarter of the forearm so you can use long gloves, or a blacelet with a short glove or gauntlet. There were also long-sleeved hauberks with integrated mail mittens (luckily the palms have a hole so you can stick your hand out if you need your fingers for writing or scratchin' yer 4rse).

We definitely need more armour in the style of the first and second crusade, at least for Arena mode, like norman style helmet with nasal (for adept and onwards) and a great helm or heaume (for expert and onwards). For the story mode, they could make a decorated version of the heaume with horns, that sort of stuff.

So far, my favourite armour sets in the story mode are the Jail Captain's set and the golem's armour, despite that it was nerfed on the last big update. Unpowered you feel like a medieval Robocop of sorts, with can be quite a challenge. It does look good on female characters.
On third place, I'm kinda fond of the catacombs armour, it looks good with chainmail underneath.
