Need help with orientation in the crossroads
Could somebody please post a screenshot of the room where you find the parachment about a "nurse that touches everything"?
Foolish as I was, I picked up that parachment, and now that I want to find this room again to investigate some more, I have forgotten what it looks like - and I cannot easily identify it because the parachment is no longer there. So a screenshot of that room would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Move west from beginning. Also he talks about nurse, sooo where in that level could nurses be?

One of the big 3 places with a different floor.
One is the theater, the other i don't know what it is and the last is the place you're looking for.

It has a garden in the front entrance in the middle of the house.

yeah, crossroads is a nightmare for orientation. i haven't even seen that parchment that you're talking about (only found 3; 2 in the bar and 1 in the jail) and there are other areas to which i've been at least 5 times in my desperate attempts to find something new. right now i have decided to just give up story mode and go back to arena until someone makes a map or the game gets its own mapping tool. just too annoying to always wander in circles while everyone is always finding all that cool stuff. would draw my own map, but the levels are so big that it would never fit on a single piece of paper. and even if it did, without any sort of scale to accurately measure distances, all the corridors and differently sized rooms would be a nightmare to get right. apart from the fact that i'd spend at least half of my in-game time in the escape menu while trying to get a proper map together.

Yeah, level 2 and crossroads are the worst places ever orientation wise, good for trainning the memory.

I kinda figured level 6 was worse, with crossroads you have a big building in the center and two somewhat distinct sides, although it helps if you use the level 4 entrance.

Thanks for the answers so far. I´ll keep my eyes open for the hospital area.

But crossroads is supremely vast, and it is so full of enemies. I thought I cleared the level and then got jumped by 5 (!) skeletons at once.

My other most interesting finds (obviously mild spoilers):
- police/prison armory
- theater backstage area
- two locked gates that could potentially lead to new areas

By the way... apparently I missed the catacombs. I thought they would come later, but I heard they are between levels two and three. Is it possible to go back through the portal? Otherwise I´ll eventually have to kill myself and restart from the pre-portal checkpoint.

Yes it is possible, and the catacombs are a neat place, so i'd recommend atleast seeing them once.

wat? i encountered maybe 7 or 8 enemies total. during the entire time that i was there. never more than 1 or sometimes (very rarely) 2 at the same time. are we even talking about the same game? lol
regarding the locked doors: so there really aren't any keys for them? good. i thought i missed something again.
what about the door with the chain? can that be opened maybe by hitting the chain with a really heavy weapon? is it even just one door or are there multiple ones? i have seen a chained door 2 or 3 times, i just don't know if it was always the same one or if it was a different one each time. same with locked door(s), i have come across a locked door a few times but i'm not sure if they were different ones or always the same.

You might have missed an ambush that is 3 enemies at once, they are static and don't roam.
Theres probably more than 8 enemies, but it is a fairly large place, luck determines how many you run into at once.

oh, you mean the mask wearing skeletons in the theater? yeah, forgot to mention those. still, encounters with enemies have been very rare for me. almost all of my time in crossroads was spent just walking through the same area over and over (or at least something that looked as if i was walking through the same area over and over). lol

If you are coming from lvl 4, go to the right and through the hospital area. The room you are searching is at the very end, one of the rooms in the area with the fences and the inner court. The room has a desk in it (there was the scroll). Search the wall to the right (when entering).

That is indeed what I was talking about, I personally was always able to find new areas and some had a number of foes such as thepolice station, but I could see that as being somewhat RNG based, as they are plently of roaming zombies but the level is very big.

yeah, i might have underestimated the amount of enemies i encountered, because there was so much time in between the encounters, which was almost exclusively spent with walking around and wondering if i had been there already or if it would finally lead to a new place.

srsly, even if they don't manage (or simply don't want) to put a good minimap into the game, i would really appreciate to have at least a good mapmaking tool which is easy to use and also provides enough space for an entire level.

right now, i could either use "free to play" mapping tools, which are too limited in either size or functionality (usually both) or pay for one that might or might not be good (something i really can't afford to do right now and also don't really want to, as i'd never use it except for exanima so it would be kind of a waste of money). apart from that, i could only use pen and paper, which doesn't work due to the reasons i mentioned some posts ago.

i think of all the options, some sort of minimap would probably be the best, since even with a mapmaking tool specifically created for exanima, there would still be the problem of not having any sort of scale/measurement, so i'd still mess up many times with all the corridors and rooms of varying sizes and then spend a good portion of "playing" in the mapmaking tool, constantly making and correcting mistakes, instead of in the actual game.

LOL, I killed like 20 or more enemies, 3 of them are dual wielding blue wearing eastern officers and 1 is the Boss of the level (the one with the nice outfit :D ) , the rest are naked skeletons and black wearing soldiers... it's really swarming with enemies.
