what do you think would make a reasonable addition to master rank that does not exist in a lower rank

Some of the weapons from level 5 would be nice, like the greatsword and the polearms.

Honestly I think the socket weapons would make for a very interesting fights, but the lore crowd usually calls foul.

Chain weapons, whips maybe? I'd really like to see more physics, momentum and timing based wespons like a flail or chain mace. I think feigning then attacking could get a good spin on it for attacking. Nunchucks would be dope too:slugghost:

No magical weapons in the arena
All the big greatswords and whatnot are in expert and will be in the next update
no weird flaily weapons. flair, chain maces eventually but not soon and not in master rank

Super fancy halberds, poleaxes, hammers and swords that are even more balanced.

regarding master tier weapons, maybe it would make more sense to move all the strongest weapons like polehammer, etc. up to master and then create some more weapons for the lower ranks?

i mean poleaxe should be a master tier weapon if you could switch from slash to crush its preety much the god tier weapon for medieval ages you have the pointy tip for cavalry or any other thing that requires a solid stab , you have the blade that can cut enemies with ease and the blunt edge for dealing with armor , all you have to do is hit them with the end

I could see high-end ranged weapons like a war bow or a crossbow being master-tier, given how well they penetrate armor.

Perhaps other master-tier weapons could be a stiletto, bec de corbin, Lucerne hammer, or ranseur?

Because there is no higher tier of weapon other than the polearms and greatswords you find in expert tier, there isn't really anything that'd fit well within master tier only.

Maybe.....if Madoc adds wheel-lock pistols* they would be considered master tier ranged weapons, but I have no idea what would fit master tier for the close combat weapons.
Would be sick to have some tho.

*Madoc has discussed before that he MIGHT add wheel-locks, I hope so because they look gorgeous.

I figure master-tier weapons, logically speaking, would be ones specifically designed for dealing with master-tier armor; ones that probably trade slashing damage for maximum crushing and/or piercing.

A war bow or a crossbow (or a sweet wheel-lock like Lurker mentioned!) would fit that spot really well, as would anti-armor polearms like a Lucerne hammer. The only appropriate 1-handed melee weapon I can think of might be something like a stiletto or rondel dagger.
