How to do overhead attack correctly?
Whenever i double click and hold, my character just like gently nudge the enemy head instead of powerfully slamming it like in some of the videos i've seen. Am i doing something wrong?

The sideways momentum really helps. I tried to make a video showing this. Some things i've picked up when trying to specifically improve my overhead attack are:

1) It's best if you start at a 45 or so degree angle. Think of it as modifying your stance to show the thin side of your body rather than being square. This gives you some room for momentum.

2) The crouch is also great for adding even more force as shown in most of the one shot kills

3) You need muscle memory with good technique to really get the most out of the attack. It helps to just have practice sessions dedicated to just getting better at the overhead (or any other attack). Once you feel comfortable landing good hits, try to integrate it into your regular style. You'll lose fights, but a good overhead doesn't come cheap. It's well worth the investment it's going to take you to be able to land it without thinking about it.

Hope this helps:

you can crouch while you're doing an overhead to increase momentum. You can also move your cursor (which moves your guys torso) to the side a bit increase momentum too. Overheads aren't effective if you're hugging your opponent.

If you do the same move with slow and long weapons like the polehammer can you also perform unblockable attacks. By shifting your momentum in just the right angle can you hit their leg, foot or sometimes even their back this way.

Works best against shielded opponents and people with shorter weapons. Doing against someone with a greatsword requires a lot more pratice.
