method to 'I will survive' achievement?

I have been trying for it for so long and I still dont get how the multiplier bonus works in the game, it's the last achievement for me and I cant complete it because the multiplier system is weird

To increase your multiplier, you have to collect shiny balls that sometimes appear. If you can shoot quickly consistently, you can get a 10x (or more) multiplier and easily get the achievement. I recommend going for gap bonuses for more points.

Thanks for help! I have reached multiplier 13x plus yet the multiplier score goes like 10k or something dont know why
