Strategy or Pure RNG?
I'm hard-stuck on Heroic Frog level 26. No matter what I seem to do, I simply cannot win more than 1/10 times. I've been trying to do long chains, since that's really your only option, but it just doesn't work. The game keep giving me colours that are nowhere near where I am on the chain.

Iron Frog seems absolutely impossible. I've reached the 6th stage in what felt like half an hour through sheer dumb luck, but most of the time I can't get past the second level. It just keeps giving me long stretches of single colours while making it impossible for me to maintain a solid chain.

It's a mixture of both, the skill ceiling in Iron Frog is almost unforgiving.

But what "Skill Ceiling"? What's the skill here? I mean, there's just nothing I can do. Literally nothing. How do I outskill bad luck? I mean, the only way I can beat any level at this point is if the game just randomly decides to exclusively roll in pairs and give me the balls needed to bust them.

What possible tactic is there for this? RIght now, it seems literally impossible to do. Unfair map design coupled with bad RNG keeps me grinding the same. single. level. over and over again. What am I doing wrong, if there's supposed to be skill involved?

The skill ceiling is speed and planning. The maps in iron frog are all designed with different gimmicks, but they are built around the same premise, if you take too long you will get locked into a bad position that is near unrecoverable. To negate this you need to plan ahead, for example breaking a chain to setup another one is better than trying to wait for the next match to come along. This would also involve the speed element as you need to be quick enough to make a decision on what would be the next best move.
