Game keeps crashing? - Solution(s)

1.Right-click the game in your Steam library and select Properties.
2. Select the Local Files tab
3. Select Browse Local Files...
This will open a window of the directory where the program files for the game are.
4. Right-click on CakeMania2.exe and select Properties. A properties window appears.
5.Select the Compatibility tab
6. Make sure Run this program in compatibility mode for: is checked and in the drop-down box, select Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
7.Click Apply at the bottom

Try running your game. It should work now.

Additional Issues:
Many of these older games have issues if you have a dual-monitor setup. Disable all extra monitors to alleviate this issue.

Edit 2025: Looks like this worked for users on Windows 10 and below. Doesn't appear to work with Windows 11.

I was Running Windows 10 when I got it to work. I have yet to try it on Windows 11. I'll update the post when I try it!
