XWAUP performance tips.
Does anyone have any performance tips. I am running the VR version and while its playable, the performance seems to be at like 20 fps at all times and it gets worse when i move my head. Is there any settings that anyone has found helps this or is it just an issue of the game being told to do things that its engine cannot handle?

did you mean during actual gameplay or the menus? the menus run at really low frame rate for me but during gameplay it works for me, though i do have some dips in framerate occasionally

This was durring gameplay. I was able to fix it by changing the Anti Aliasing settings. Literally made 50fps difference to me.

I can run it maxed out on triple-monitors. VR seems really choppy and buggy. TrackIR support crashes. I end up using TrackIR mouse emulator instead.

How do you set up triple monitors?
What anti aliasing settings did you change it to?

I downloaded a file called xwinghacker. You run it and point to your xwingalliance executable. You will then re-assign new resolutions for the existing ones. Make sure to modify the res you currently use in game(i.e. if you use 1600x1200 change it to 5760x1080 for use w/ 3x monitors). Works great. Anyone have luck with BlueMax's Track IR support? Mine crashes when I opt for it.

Yes. I actually was able to solve the issues. So with the update to the mod it now actually works correctly in steam vr and some of the settings cause literally 50fps drops in performance.

on the official website. the VR file is Effects by Blue Max's Version 1.1.4

You can find the mods on X Wing Alliance Upgrade web site in the download section (the one that enable Track IR and VR is called Effects by BlueMax.
