Candy store scale

So, I'm at the candy store, trying to get the hidden door to the book store open, and I assume I have to get an exact weight of candy on the scale. The sign in the room says 1 pound, so I assume that's it, and I have 1 pound of candy.

Is there something I'm missing here, or do I need a different weight of candy?

I'm not too good at hints, but I'll try my best. you have to go through the perfume department, where the leprechaun guy is, and pass the mannequins.
