Excessive Vandalism
Playing on Dollarington as of writing this and on the fifth objective, but now I'm getting all my machines vandalised non-stop. I've seen customers come in and just smash 3 or 4 slot machines in a row but when I discipline them they deny it? At this point I'm just selling most of them because they are constantly being broken and my technicians just can't keep up with the swarm of technophobic customers.

Is this a bug or does anyone possibly have any insight? Thanks.

It's probably because of the difficulty of the city. Normal costumers do that, not only troublemakers and while they're breaking a machine you see an evil icon appears on their head. I do not use slot machines in my casinos, they are useless already. Jackpot slot machines are better, they are unbreakable and cheaper. You can set the price up to 75-100$ on it, more profitable in that way.

https://s1.postimg.org/51yidzcwr3/1121.jpg the machine in this picture an ss from my game. Also, the objective 7 on dollarington is the hardest one. Before you jump to it, keep the high roller visits low in your casinos so it won't ask you a big number. (70 visits in a day like mine).

Thanks for the response. I wasn't aware that Jackpot slot machines didn't break down, in fact I haven't used them at all! So I will definitely try them out.

Unfortunately though I got to objective 7 before I read your post so like yourself I also need to bring in 70 high rollers on a single day... gonna be hard :P
Yea this is a glitch that i have had happen many times. Customers will come in and use the slots as normal for a time then out of no where every customer who wants to play a slot machine will just break it instead. I fount this glitch happened every 10mins on my windows 7 machine untill i changed the compatibility to windows xp.

It is not a glitch exactly, it is the copy protection detecting that it is a pirated copy of the game and taking measures to screw the player over. Given the age of the game, and that Sony Securom (the copy protection used on Casino Inc) was known to cause false positives even back in 2003 it is not surprising that it has false positives when running on modern systems.

Other 'bugs' that are actually copy protection detection errors are people suddenly dropping dead, staff members suddenly being set on fire, cash being leaked from the players bank account, objectives not being completable and all the staff becoming unhappy and quitting (+ many more). If you see weird things happening in the game, the chances are good it was due to the copy protection.

Copy protection sucked, and wrecked games, but was unfortunately mandated by the publisher.
