sucking bad garbage, you want a good fight game go get fight n rage far superior by every metric

No online coop, it works with Steam Remote Play... Except it only works when friends use a controller?... I saw the game on sale and I was thinking to play with a friend, so I bought the deluxe version - when I only needed one copy in the first place... Confusing and annoying.
... It's an old game, with frustrating pixel perfect positioning. Clearly you are meant to laugh seeing the cool art and character animations but - after fighting 5 bums who just take turns knocking you down - requiring fast Y presses just to start to get up - and even more to be able to stand up and fight again, just to get knocked down ... well... play if that sounds like fun.

"Mother Russia Bleeds" is one of those minor Devolver Digital throwback games that isn't very mechanically interesting, narratively cohesive, or particularly fun to play. Basically hyper-violent Reagan era Soviet kitsch, an aesthetic that serves little purpose other than novelty. This type of over-the-top bloodbath needs to have some levity to it, or a tongue-in-cheek tone, but this game takes itself waaaaay too seriously. If you're in the mood for a short, gruesome nihilist gorefest, go nuts I guess.

Not recommended.

Pros:
- Good music!
- Combo system kinda works
- Great sounds for hits, crunchy and impactful

Cons:
- Solo play is a slog of repetitive enemies for 8 levels you've seen a million times in beat-em-ups.
- Despite combos, bland button mashing mechanics. Too easy to get stunlocked with cheap enemy movesets.
- Main characters are truly repellent and unlikable. Story is a boring mess about a revolution or whatever.
- Overbearingly and oppressively ugly look. This game looks like a rotting carcass in a dumpster.
- Bosses are more like puzzles than a test of your combat prowess.

This game doesn't work well in remote play cannot play with my friends

The game started pretty good, but then it's problems got more and more apparent... The writing is pretty bad and borderline cringey (the humour, that is). The hitboxes are all over the place - sometimes you stand a mm too low or too high, and your hits aren't registered.
But worst of all - there's a section of one level that just breaks the game. It's not about difficulty, it's just that it's plain badly designed - I personally got stuck there for a while and in the end had enough because it made no sense - it had nothing to do with skill.
Overall, I can't recommend this game.

I feel like a bit more effort should've gone into making this game. Half a tutorial for instance, the rest of it is in loading screens, vital things you should know from the start. Some of the enemies in this game are just pure bullsh**

"The game offers decent graphics and what seems to be a standard plot for games of this genre, but the gameplay is WAY too drawn out. Somewhere around level 7, there are simply WAY too many enemies. Even with a friend, playing on normal difficulty was still challenging. By level 8, we had to add a bot because the "Arena" couldn't be completed without it. And on the last level, there are just WAY too many enemies, even by this game's standards. And just when you think it's over, the final boss appears, but then you're presented with another corridor filled with NPCs. I don't recommend it for anyone who has any game in their library other than 90s fighting games."

I'm disappointed, maybe because I had better expectations. I'm a huge Hotline Miami fan, so that's why I bought this game with high expectations, but what I got was a game with ugly looking textures and a boring story.
