No multiplayer? Really?

I just bought the dealers edition to play with one of my friends and now it turns out that i cant? I think its kind of stupid to even call it co-op, because im pretty sure that i wont be split screening this game on pc.

This is going to sound like I'm trying to be a jerk, but I promise you I'm not; on the store page it says "single player", "local multiplayer", and "local co-op" with no mention of online anywhere. Granted, the current highlighted reviews are mostly uninformative but a couple do mention lack of online multiplayer.

That said, I agree with your sentiment. For a sidescrolling beat 'em up on PC to have local multiplayer only is very short sighted. But the devs have mentioned the possibility of an online mode in the future.

Yeah all i saw when i bought it was "co-op", i guess i should have paid more attention. I still think its kind of stupid though.

While it is important to read the game info, having an option to buy multiple copies in a pack does kind of imply it has online.

Probably because it was planned to have an online multiplayer mode. The dealer's edition was probably planned when they thought MRB would got it and didn't change it afterwards.

Since the game has been released it has been said nowhere there will be online multiplayer later (not twitter at least)
They announced nothing official about it.
