Multiplayer / Remote play

I purchased this game with the assumption that remote play was compatible ( says it on the store page). We can't even get past the character select screen without having issues. E.I. Buttons won't work, or the game is making us share sides of a keyboard? I use a PS4 controller it works just fine in solo, but when we try multiplayer with remote play, my friends keyboard inputs are effecting my character selection after pressing X to start?? (btw the Invite to lobby button after right clicking on my friends name does absolutely nothing.) Is there going to be a fix to this hot mess? Because Side scrolling beat'em ups are best enjoyed with friends... and i just wouldn't be interested unless I can play with mine.

I think it is the steam system. It shares you für same controls. Either rebind it (if possible) or just use a controller, while your friend is using keyboard.

Do you and your friend have different start buttons? Might sound stupid but it set my friends as the same, and once I changed it I think that fixed it for us.

Thanks i'll give it a shot. but i agree with @Boriasch i think its the system itself
