Theres barely any difference in the characters aside from the visuals and the dialogue is not only way too long but feels like its written by a kid thats trying to act cool by talking smack to his older brother. Boss fights dont feel liek boss fights at all, some are over in seconds and others feel like quick time event like due to the design.
Also they made one of the most blasphemous design choices by not giving health bar to enemies or bosses, thats like the holy grail of a brawler game to see it getting depleted and how much dmg you do, but they probably didnt make it since theres barely any moves to warrant a difference between the characters. Did these guys even play the top of the crop brawlers from the arcades/Capcom Play System etc. ?
The train level is one of the worst designed levels, and some areas are too long like the needle part in the first stage of the last boss. Enemey behaviour is kind of annoying at times aswell especially the guys jumping and pinning you.
This game comes out 20 years later and feels liek a worse version of every arcade game out there just with good pixel graphics. I still cant fathom someone cant renew the brawler genre in this day and age. All they need to do to give it some replay value is distinctive chaaracter moves/feel, alternate paths on levels/secret levels and character unlocks to make it fun and last a bit more than one playthrough. Once youve done the story mode in thsi game its right to the uninstall bin the needle mechanic is garbage and annoying to even bother with and characters have no difference.
I give it a 5/10 out of pity
I think this game is pretty cool.
