moles and diamonds

the dude came out and said how to get moles to get diamonds, but i cant remember and i cant seem to find out via the game menus, yes i purchased the mole upgrade

Moles are awesome! ;)
1. Get the Upgrade that lets you pick up Diamonds
2. Find a Diamond
3. Buy a Mole in-game and click on the Diamond.

Normally that triangle you click is the first the Mole will uncover and then discover plots around it. Now the Mole will pick up the Diamond for you.

Speaking of moles, is it just me or have moles become worse at finding gas with update #18 or #19? In the past I had the feeling that I needed very few moles to uncover all the gas.

They actually should have improved a bit after update 18. This might be an important find. Thanks for letting us know, we'll check into it!

Still seems to be the case... got the gas upgrade for moles, and they're useless at it. Sure they incidentially point to oil, but gas pockets, nope.
And if I look at the end-screen, they generally seem to go the wrong way for all of them, doubt that's intended. So yeah, they're useless for gas now, unless I'm missing something very obvious?

Moles suck. Only use is for diamonds. Scanner is where it is at! Would be cool if a mole went into a scanned section you would see his cool little wriggly body and face instead of the stupid triangle.

Does anybody have an idea why my mole is ignoring a completely uncovered diamond?

@rainbowcrash89, perhaps you didn't have diamond upgrade for moles? You can get it in the workshop.
