[FIXED] Problems with Turmoil
Hallo guys,

I've a problem with Turmoil. I installed first of all steam and than the game Turmoil.

But the problem is, when I click on the Turmoil button on my desktop, it opens a small window which says "Game couldn't started (Programm is running)".

But I have never played the game, not even for a minute!

And the next problem is, when I want to close steam, a window appears with following text "wait for completion of turmoil..."

But after 10min the programm is still not finished.

What should I do?

Has anyone the same problems, how can I play the game?

Thx, for help!

Hi,
So in your profile is says that you have played 14,5 hours of Turmoil (!)
I'm wondering if your PC is part of a network or if you share an account and someone else is playing at the same time?

That's what I'm saying here"And the next problem is, when I want to close steam, a window appears with following text "wait for completion of turmoil..."

That's why it counts the time, when steam is open. Turmoil must run in the background, cause otherwise it couldn't count the time....

If you want remote access you will see, what I mean.

It makes me crazy, cause I have no idea what is the problem!
And I have played lots of other games via steam, and there was never such a big problem than now!!!

I'm not sharing the account, it's just installed steam with my account on this PC where I wrote this words just right now! :)

Is it running in the background when you open TaskManager? Ctrl+Shift+Esc
ernte1 Jun 8, 2016 @ 2:49am
When I start "Turmoil" I can see for approx. 5sec in the task manager (via Ctrl+Shift+Esc) that Turmoil is running and also steam!

BUT: after that 5 seconds in the task manager only steam is there and i got get mesage I mentioned before "Game couldn't started (Programm is running). For further informations go to the steam-support page"

It's weird... :( :( :(

Try verifying your game integrity. Here is a YouTube video on your problem with a text description for every step as well:

I've watched the video, clicked also the same stuff it says "steam-files will be examined 0% finished"

And in the second sequence it says "all files successful examinded"

A little bit confusing!

A Screenshot of that, would you get via Facebook! :)

Apparantly this happens more frequently on Steam. It's not a Turmoil specific issue. We found this thread on another game, that also describes your problem.

And maybe try these steps but don't forget to completely close out Steam first!
1. Load the Steam platform and log into your account
2. Click the Library tab in the menu at the top of the screen
3. Click the List View from the view options on the top right of the screen
4. Right click on Turmoil to bring up a popup menu
5. Click on Properties from the popup menu to bring up another popup box
6. Click on Local files from the popup box menu
7. Click on Verify integrity of game cache from the Local file options
8. Wait for the progress bar to finish verifying your files. Additional files may download
9. Restart Steam
10. Restart Turmoil

That is the same, what I have done via the youtube video, which you have posted a message before!

Nevertheless I did it again, the only thing what was new, that the bar get 100% said successful, but after restart steam and turmoil the game still don't run!!!

We don't know what we can do to help at this moment. Steam support has a topic on it.

From a fresh restart of your PC, have you tried starting the game from the library page of steam and not using the shorcut on your desktop?

edit: may be an outdated drivers/software thing?

Could be, so definitely try. But it seems a Steam related issue. I think ernte1 has posted to the Steam support forums as well. Hopefully they can help.

The problem has been solved now, it was a setting from Zone Alarm, which was not okay...

Thx for the help! :)

Awesome! We're also glad it was not a Turmoil issue. Could you alter the title of the post with the prefix [FIXED]? That would help people.
