[Help] I dont understand how to convert oil to gas. Shouldnt this work?

Yes, that should work. You don't even need the 2nd pipe closed. Just one closed pipe in oil connected to magma.

You are probably missing the Heat Conversion upgrade! Which gets unlocked in the third area of the Heat Is On campaign. You can try it out in the single game mode as well, since all upgrades are unlocked there.

The Oil to Gas Conversion isn't working for me.

I even purchased the Oil to Gas speed upgrade, Dug into the magma and the oil at the beginning of the map around Jan and waited almost 6 months and the oil didn't convert.

I've tried it on 2 or 3 different maps and the Oil simply isn't converting to gas.

I'm having same issue. tried every way, watched a video of someone doing, have never been able to make it happen in the game regardless of what level/game style or upgrades. I have the conversion upgrade and the speed upgrade. I've tried with closed pipes open pipes, maga then oil. oil then magma, every way I could think of. never once saw any gas


EDIT!: Figured it out! nowhere do i see this ever mentioned, but you have to close the pipe. so goes Rig > Magma > Oil, Close Pipe at end, in the oil. thats what makes it start converting. you have to close the end
