Can't mine through rocks.
So i bought the upgrade in the workshop to be able to mine through rocks, but its not letting me? Am i missing something?

Yeah, as :Radithol says, you first have to buy the upgrade in the workshop. And then you can activate it in-level by clicking the icon next to the rig.

One you upgrade one rig, you can connect pipes from other rigs to the upgraded rig, and they will share upgrades. This can save you lots of money!
