OH MY GOD THEY MADE AN HD REMAKE OF DUAL BLADES ON GBA

This game is amazing: Sure I've played this on Android, but this version takes it to the next level. This is more like a cross between The Last Blade (Sword Play, Slashing and the Fatalities), Street Fighter 3 (Blocking and Reversals) and Guilty Gear (Roman Cancelling and Recoveries). That would be cool if there were air dashing and air combos, but overall, this game is rock on. I know this is early access, but I am pumped for full action and excitement! I rate this 9/10 because of how this turns out so far. I'd recommend this game for anyone. Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained.

This game is amazing. The gameplay is smooth and enjoyable. The inputs of special moves are all simple, so you don't have to worry about stuff like half circle inputs or Z inputs. The combos in this game can go from basic to crazy advanced combos. I'm a high level player myself in this game and I still end up finding crazy combos. There is a combo challenge section that lets you get an idea of a character's combo structure. Also, you can record your own combos and share them to the online combos section, where people can see the combos. Depending on how good your combo was, it can appear on the top 20 combos, a filter that shows the top 20 combos in the game.
There are some mechanics that are similar to mechanics from different fighting games like power recovery (it's similar to roman cancel in Guilty Gear) and a universal Block (It's a parry like the parries in Street Fighter).

There is a good variety of characters to play with unique playstyles and movesets, so there most likely will be a character that fits your playstyle. Also, all the characters are beginner friendly (well except Nagashapa), so you can play pretty much play any character and do fine in online.

I recommend you join the discord to find matches and discuss about stuff because it can be hard to find people online (though it's still possible to find someone to fight online if you're fortunate enough).

This game is free on mobile. It's the best fighting game you could ever get on your phone/tablet. It might seem like because the game is free on mobile, there's no point on buying it on steam. But, buying this game on steam gives a better fighting game experience, you get all the characters for free (on mobile you have to buy the characters with medals, which you can get from missions, completing combo challenges, journey mode and more), there's no ads and there's two player.

Some negatives in this game are online matches can be quite laggy because of bad connection and the netcode is delay based, but the next update will have rollback netcode. Another thing is, it's kinda annoying how the game only keeps a limited number of online match replays in the ingame fight log. This can be fixed if replays instead are saved in a folder in file explorer. Also, replays and saved combos are in the same log, so if you go to the fight log, you will also see your saved combos there and vice versa for if you to to the combo log. That can be quite annoying because I sometimes might lose a replay I wanted to see because I accidentally looked at an online combo (watching online combos causes them to be saved to your fight log/combo log). Lastly, there are some bugs, but it's not too bad. I don't get much bugs when i play this game, but there are more bugs on the mobile version of this game.

This game is so much fun to play. I do play other fighting games, but I always find myself coming back to this game and playing it.

Overall, I recommend that you try out this awesome game. It's worth it.

This game is perfect! An active community that continues to strive to create new things. An open devloper that's willing to listen to the community and make adjustments! The gameplay is smooth.... the characters are very interesting!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT'S NEXT!!!!

Slashers is old-school 2D fighting game with simple game mechanics and tactical game play which will not disappoint a fighting genre fan.

Fast and balanced gameplay, great community, developer actually listens to feedback and releases consistent updates.

only 42 minutes, its a f**king good game!

weak point:
1. default keyboard setting 1 always have a problem about choosing menu option, in the meanwhile, i change the default, but it still exists. only default keyboard setting 2 is ok.
(just i tested the keyboard, not the gamepad)

good point:
1. comic style, one role attach action skills are 6 actions, and combo skills can be set in the keyboard setting.
2. single mode, including arcade mode and other mode, it can choose "vs cpu" and choose custom cpu roles, so great setting mode.

lack of story mode, its pity, but the great quality of the game have a low price, it is worthy!

Slashers is a competant, mechanically sound fighting game that has a lot of potential. Limited at 4 characters now, I don't feel short changed with it's price tag and knowing it's in early access.

Originally I wasn't feeling the art style, but after having hands on and seeing it in action -- it's really growing on me.

The amount of content already built into the game is astounding and I really hope that even a small community will grow around this game. I plan on hopping in the Discord soon to see if I can some time to test online but I was able to test local play and will do a future video showcasing that.

My initial impressions of this game surprised me and I am happy I could support you as a dev!

A pretty solid fighting game, I enjoy the moves and graphics and the way it plays is pretty nice. The discord is also very helpful and nice. Definitely a game I'd recommend to people who play fighting games.
