I posted my strategy in another thread but basically, I mana drained him to reduce his attack options, then pounded him into the dirt
He doesn't take a ton of damage,
IIRC I did it with summoner, knight, fighter, ranger (HP pools more than skill sets was important to me this time)
Threw out summons when I could, healed when I could, threw out damage when I could
the big ice summon was the MVP of the fight damage wise, his triple attack when he is fully buffed was pretty decent.
Other wise, be max level, have the best gear for the classes you use, and just keep chipping away... the worst was IIRC he heals, often and thats annoying
But he pales in comparison to being level 62 and undergeared vs the last super boss, or level 70 and under geared...
The final boss of the game has two forms,
Easy mode where you lose vs the crystals
and
Absurd mode, where you beat all the crystals then him
and from the sounds of it not only was he nerfed from his initial incarnation when I had the misfortune of being locked against him (something like 50-75 attempts or more to win), and now of course the level cap is higher and you have more gear and support items...
The alternate final boss could do 1000-2000 damage x3 followed by an immediate turn of doing it again... I think at worst I had him take 5 turns back to back without any chance of you making a move... all party 700-1200 damage aoe, a single target 5000+ damage shot, remove buffs, etc etc etc
the ONLY way I won was persistance and luck. He has a move that would restore a ton of his hp, his mana, and self buff him with everything. IF that self buff wasn't removed immediately, he would generally wipe you out. The time I beat him, my cleansing strike was thankfully always behind his attack
The spagetti boss, just took me a couple tries, and mostly because I started the fight at low hp the first time and not kitted into my boss killing party.
He went down easy, he went down quick.
He gets too many blast ya all with no mana abilities for sure... should be the Dragon Quest imp casts KABOOM.... failed... no MP... :(
He should still try and lose turns for it...
But summons are your friend as always, acting as damage and sponges for the party...
I want a zoomancer :P zoomancers rule
Just spam shield with cleric till you have 10 stacks, and the meatball will make you 0 dmg, then summon your spaghetti avatar pet.
With the cook do "Happy hour" few times for buff up and regen and then "Marination" for debuff.
With mage I was spamming "Dispelling blast" and "chain lighting" for dmg. Also tried the wizard pet, but It was pretty useless, but is not so bad as there is one more target, so the chances to attack one of your chars is reduced.
Black Knight was solely dmg.
When spaghetti monster is at 50% HP's he change his skillset, from the meatballs to a instakill spell, when this happen just rezz up and keep in rebuffing and going on.
I also tried first with pirate instead of cleric and it was nice too, but the cleric pet is a must.
