1. Besides graphics and music, are all versions of the original Luxor identical?
2. Is there any promotional, exclusive, or permanently missable content?
3. Did Luxor have any bonuses for having save data belonging to a different video game?

The only one I can answer is your first question, and the HD remake is SO much better because of a stage called Khufu's Revenge. In the original Khufu's Revenge was impossible to clear (for me anyway) because the game just DID NOT give you the colors you needed once the balls passed a certain point. The HD remake fixes that, so that alone justified me buying it again.
